Jake Koehler (Belvidere, IL) of the Concordia-Chicago football team is honored for the week of Nov. 14-20.
           
Koehler passed for a career-high 422 yards (26-39) and five touchdowns in the Cougars’ 56-28 win over Lake Forest College in the Nov. 19 completion of the suspended game from Sept. 3. The Cougars’ first-year starter at quarterback also recorded his third 100-yard rushing game of the season with 120 yards including a 15-yard touchdown scamper in 19 carries. Koehler’s effort led to Concordia amassing a season-high total of 648 yards of offense.
           
Koehler, the son of Joel and Jane Koehler, is a 2009 graduate of Rockford Lutheran High School in Rockford, Ill. He is a junior Lutheran elementary education major with a specialization in mathematics.
