Deanna Richardson (Bellwood, Ill.) of the women’s tennis team is honored for the week of Aug. 30-Sept. 5.

Richardson led the women’s tennis team to a 2-1 start for the season. She won all three of her first singles matches, defeating opponents from Judson University, Alverno College and Wisconsin Lutheran College. Richardson paired with former high school teammate Allison Korenchan at first doubles to defeat the Alverno and Wisconsin Lutheran tandems as part of the Cougars’ 2-0 start in Northern Athletics Conference play.

            
Richardson, the daughter of Ray and Beth Richardson, is a 2010 graduate of Walther Lutheran High School in Melrose Park, Ill. She is a freshman biology major.
