Savanna Ashbaugh (Waverly, IL) of the volleyball team is honored for the week of Sept. 5-11.

Ashbaugh settled into the role of starting setter for the volleyball team last week, and the results were in evidence as the Cougars finished the week with two wins. Ashbaugh handed out 79 assists over five matches and added 48 digs. In the Cougar victories Sept. 10, she recorded 23 assists in a five-set win over Aurora University and 22 assists in a three-set sweep of Marian University.

Ashbaugh, the daughter of Jim and Tracy Ashbaugh, is a 2011 graduate of Waverly High School. She is a freshman exercise science major.
