Taylor Golden (Chicago) of the softball team is honored for the week of April 18-24.

Golden batted .455 and drove in 10 runs during the Cougars’ four games last week. The third baseman had a three-run double in an 8-1 game one win over Marian University and a solo homer in the nightcap. Against Maranatha Baptist Bible College April 23, she went a combined 2-4 with three runs and six RBIs including a three-run homer in game two. Through 27 games this season, Golden is batting .342 with three homers, 21 RBIs and a .534 slugging percentage.

Golden, the daughter of Ron and Kim Golden, is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School in River Forest. She is a freshman with an undecided major.
