Mike Marotta (Brookfield, Ill.) of the football team is honored for the week of Aug. 30-Sept. 5.

            
Marotta connected on 24 of 42 passes as the Cougars blitzed Lake Forest College by a 52-23 score in the Sept. 4 season opener. He accounted for 316 of the team’s 514 yards of offense and threw for five touchdowns, the third time he has accomplished the feat in the last 10 games dating back to Sept. 10, 2009.

            
Marotta, the son of Mark and Sue Marotta, is a 2005 graduate of Riverside-Brookfield High School. He is a senior physical education major.
