Dan Kluss (Niles, IL) of the baseball team is honored for the week of May 12-18.
Kluss was named to the All-Midwest Regional team at the University of Wisconsin/Whitewater. He pitched a complete-game five-hitter in leading the Cougars to a 3-1 first-round win over the University of Wisconsin/LaCrosse on May 14. Kluss, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference’s Pitcher of the Year, finished the season with a 6-2 record and a 1.65 earned run average in 71 innings (12 appearances, 10 starts).Â
Kluss, the son of Joe and Diane Kluss, is a 2010 graduate of Niles West High School in Skokie, IL. He is a senior accounting major.
