Abby Pierce (Clinton Township, MI) of the track and field team is honored for the week of April 28-May 4.
Pierce recorded personal bests in three throwing events at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championships on May 2-3. Her efforts earned her third-place finishes in the discus (117’ 5”) and hammer throw (131’ 3”) and a sixth place in the shot put (35’ 9 ½”). Pierce accounted for 15 of the team’s 81 points which earned them fifth place in the meet.
Pierce, the daughter of David and Diane Pierce, is a 2012 graduate of Lutheran High School Northwest in Rochester Hills, MI. She is a sophomore exercise science major.
