Rodolfo Payan (El Paso, TX) of the football team is honored for the week of Oct. 10-16.

Payan was in the center of several big plays by the defense in the football team’s 35-14 win over Rockford University on Oct. 15. The linebacker recovered a fumble and picked off a pass to account for two of the defense’s takeaways. Payan also recorded eight tackles (three solo), including two tackles for losses totaling eight yards.

Payan, the son of Diana Ruiz-Esparza, is a 2015 graduate of El Paso High School in El Paso, TX. He is a sophomore exercise science major.
