Kaylyn Anderson (East Chicago, IN) of the women’s tennis team is honored for the week of Sept. 26-Oct. 2.
Anderson netted her first win of the season at fourth singles in CUC’s match against the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Oct. 1. She also teamed with Amelia Wellman to win both second doubles matches in decisive fashion, 8-0 over their MSOE opponents and 8-2 over the Wisconsin Lutheran College pair. “Kaylyn’s high school tennis experience was in doubles only. She has been learning the ins and outs of how to play singles, and her win on Saturday showed how far she has come. It was a joy to watch,” said CUC women’s tennis coach Howard Carley.
Anderson, the daughter of Edwin and Kimberly Anderson, is a 2014 graduate of Whiting High School in Whiting, IN. She is a junior elementary education major.
