Anh Nguyen (West Chicago, IL) of the football team is honored for the week of Aug. 29–Sept. 4.
..
Nguyen made three top defensive plays in leading the CUC football team to a 40-30 win over Ripon College on Sept. 3. He recorded both of the Cougars’ quarterback sacks totaling nine yards in losses and also blocked a field goal attempt in the closing seconds of the first half.

Nguyen, the son of Suzan Nguyen, is a 2013 graduate of West Chicago High School in West Chicago, IL. He is a senior exercise science major.
