Abby Pierce (Clinton Township, MI) of the track and field team is honored for the week of May 9-15.

Pierce improved by nearly five feet over her school-record discus throw from three weeks ago, recording a 139’ 5” at the Dr. Keeler Invitational at North Central College on May 12. Pierce will look to continue her progress over the next week as she attempts to qualify for the NCAA Division III national championships later this month.

Pierce, the daughter of David and Diane Pierce, is a 2012 graduate of Lutheran High School Northwest of Rochester Hills, MI. She is a senior exercise science major.
