Mitchell Pelissier (Puyallup, WA) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the week of Dec. 28-Jan. 3.
Pelissier continued a fine rookie season with the Cougars in leading the team in scoring for their games last week against sixth-ranked Elmhurst College and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Against Elmhurst on Dec. 29, he finished with 18 points in 30 minutes including a season-best 8-9 at the free-throw line. In the Jan. 2 game at MSOE, he tallied 15 points in 28 minutes. Pelissier is currently second on the Cougars in scoring with a 15.6 average, and he leads the team in free throws, both made and attempted.
Pelissier, the son of Steve and Jennifer Pelissier, is a 2015 graduate of Mount Rainier Lutheran High School in Tacoma, WA. He is a freshman sports management major.
