Danielle McCormick (Oak Park, IL) of the track and field team is honored for the week of May 4-10.
McCormick set two personal records at the first of two “Last Chance Meets” at North Central College on May 7. She ran a 2:42.13 in the 1,500 meters, topping her previous best time by 3.1 seconds. McCormick’s time of 5:10.45 in the 800 meters was her best outdoor time, beating her mark of 5:14.80 from the Cougar Invitational just three weeks ago.
McCormick, the daughter of Tony and Tracy McCormick, is a 2014 graduate of Oak Park-River Forest High School in Oak Park, IL. She is a freshman special education major.
