Carlos Olavarria (Rosemont, IL) of the baseball team is honored for the week of March 2-8.

Olavarria led the Cougar baseball team for the week with 12 hits in 28 at-bats for a .429 batting average. He scored six runs and drove in seven for the week. The leftfielder’s hits included two doubles and a two-run homer, the round-tripped coming in the March 2 game against Wartburg College. Olavarria recorded a .607 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage.

Olavarria, the son of Carlos Olavarria and Marybeth Burgos, is a 2011 graduate of East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL. He is a senior sport and fitness major.
