Chelsee Wilson (Shawneetown, IL) of the women’s track and field team is honored for the week of Feb. 23-March 1.
Wilson broke her previous school records in the 55 and 200-meter dashes at the NACC Indoor Championships. She broke the eight-second barrier for the first time with a 7.42 in the 55, finishing second in the event by just one-hundredth of a second. Wilson eclipsed her previous record in the 200 by over half a second, clocking in at 26.18 seconds to finish third.
Wilson, the daughter of Iles and Kristen Fort, is a 2014 graduate of Grayslake North High School in Grayslake, Illinois. She is a freshman communications major.
