Courtney Lofink (Orange, CA) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the week of Feb. 9-15.
Lofink shot an amazing 13-15 (.867) from the field, a perfect 13-13 inside the three-point line, in a pair of Cougars’ wins last week. The 5’6” guard scored a team-high 21 points (7-9 shooting, 7-8 at the free throw line) to go with four rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 78-66 win over Aurora University on Feb. 11. In the Feb. 14 game against Marian University, Lofink scored 16 points (6-6 FG, 4-6 FT) along with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead CUC’s 91-83 victory. Lofink currently leads the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in both assists (89) and steals (73).
Lofink, the daughter of Mark and Karen Lofink, is a 2014 graduate of Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, CA. She is a freshman elementary education major.
