Leroy Bridges (Chicago, IL) of the men’s track and field team is honored for Feb. 13-19
Bridges contributed his top two collegiate performances in the Cougars’ Feb. 18 effort at the University of Chicago’s Margaret Bradley Invitational. He ran a 7.06 in the 60-meter dash, just 0.02 of a second off Merrell Davis’ 2012 school record, and finished second in the event. Bridges also ran a 23.01 in the 200-meter race, a 0.19 second improvement, and finished third out of 53 runners. His efforts scored 14 points for the team as they finished in fourth place out of 10 teams.
Bridges, the son of Leroy and Denise Bridges, is a 2012 graduate of Perspectives Charter High School in Chicago, IL. He is a junior psychology major.
