Jaela DeJean (Houston, TX) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the week of Jan. 5-11.

DeJean led the Cougars with 28 points in a 96-80 win over Edgewood College on Jan. 10. The 5’4” guard shot 7-12 from the field and 14-17 from the free throw line while also handing out five assists. DeJean also scored 15 points to go with three assists and four steals in CUC’s contest against Concordia University Wisconsin on Jan. 6. In the two games, DeJean shot a combined 11-21 (.524) from the field and 21-26 (.808) from the free throw line.

DeJean, the daughter of William and Jacie McKnight, is a 2014 graduate of Houston Christian High School in Houston, TX. She is a freshman exercise science major.
