Mike Walmer (Orlando, FL) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the week of Dec. 29-Jan. 4.
Walmer scored his career-high of 34 points, 26 coming in the second half as the Cougars came back to edge Rockford University 97-94 on Dec. 31. The 6’0” guard shot 12-17 from the field including 3-3 from three-point range and 7-8 from the free throw line. Walmer also recorded five rebounds and six assists, the sixth coming on the winning basket with five seconds remaining.
Walmer, the son of Michael and Rhonda Walmer, is a 2013 graduate of Orlando Christian High School in Orlando, FL. He is a sophomore with an undeclared major.
