Cortney Kugath (Belvidere, IL) of the volleyball team is honored for the week of Oct. 20-26.

Kugath played the primary setter’s role in matches against Lincoln Christian University and Alverno College last week. Kugath handed out a career-high 43 assists against Alverno on Oct. 25, but CUC head coach Troy Campbell was more impressed with her play in the previous night’s match against Lincoln Christian in which she had 32 assists. “Cortney was ready when she was told she was going to play, and I thought that she made a few big plays and really worked well with our hitters in establishing a flow to the offense.”
Kugath, the daughter of Kevin and Linda Kugath, is a 2013 graduate of Belvidere High School in Belvidere, IL. She is a sophomore exercise science major.
