Marty Beckman (Parma, Ohio) of the football team is honored for the week of Nov. 1-7.

 

Beckman led the Cougars’ defense with nine total tackles (six solo, three assists) in the Cougars’ 49-20 rout of Concordia Wisconsin on Nov. 6. Three of the 6’3” defensive end’s tackles accounted for 14 yards in losses, including a quarterback sack that forced the Falcons to punt from their own seven-yard line. Beckman currently leads the Northern Athletics Conference with 14.5 tackles for minus-yards, and he is second in the NAC with 7.5 sacks.

           

Beckman, the son of Dr. David and Melissa Beckman, is a 2008 graduate of Lutheran West High School in Rocky River, Ohio. He is a junior (sophomore eligibility) education major.
