Justin Bolo (River Grove, IL) of the men’s track and field team is honored for the week of March 24-30.
Bolo returned to action following an injury as the Cougars’ track and field teams competed at the Augustana College Viking Olympics on March 29. He scored a seventh-place finish in the long jump at 16’ 10” and also competed in the 100-meter dash (11.91 seconds) and the shot put (27’ 8 ¾”), the latter a first-time effort. “Justin went all-out in his events and turned in some good solid efforts. It is exciting watching him develop his many talents,” said CUC track and field head coach Phil Kopinski.
Bolo, the son of Jorge and Luisa Bolo, is a 2011 graduate of East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL. He is a junior accounting major.
