Carlos Olavarria (Rosemont, IL) of the baseball team is honored for the week of March 3-9.

Olavarria batted .552 (16-29) with 11 runs scored and six RBIs as the Cougars won five of seven games. He recorded a .618 on-base percentage, quickly establishing himself in the number three spot in the batting order. Olavarria cracked his first homer in a CUC uniform in the 21-12 game two win over St. Olaf College on March 8.

Olavarria, the son of Carlos Olavarria and Marybeth Burgos, is a 2011 graduate of East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL. He is a junior sport and fitness major.
