Angelik Young (Crete, IL) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the period of Jan. 13-19.

Young turned in two strong performances last week against two tough opponents. The 5’9” forward came off the bench to score 11 points and grab nine rebounds Jan. 15 against Wisconsin Lutheran College. Young then scored a career-high 21 points and captured a season-high 12 rebounds in a Jan. 18 game against the Milwaukee School of Engineering. She shot 58 percent from the field over the two games (14-24).

Young, the daughter of Selena Maynie, is a 2012 graduate of Crete-Monee High School in Crete, IL. She is a sophomore graphic design major.
