Mike Walmer (Orlando, FL) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the period of Dec. 9-17.
Walmer scored 19 of his career-high 25 points in the second half to lead the Cougar men past Fontbonne University, 100-85 on Dec. 16. He shot 8-12 overall from the field and 9-11 from the line, all of his free throws coming in the second half. Walmer also added five assists and one steal against just one turnover in his 38 minutes of play.
Walmer, the son of Michael and Rhonda Walmer, is a 2013 graduate of Orlando Christian High School in Orlando, Florida. He is a freshman with an undeclared major.
