Concordia University Chicago Athletics

Kayla Konow (Fort Wayne, IN) of the women’s cross-country team is honored for the week of Nov. 11-17.

Konow became the first woman in Concordia-Chicago’s cross-country history to earn All-Regional honors. She ran a 22:49 in the women’s 6K at the Division III Midwest Regionals in Rock Island, Illinois on Nov. 16. Konow broke her own school record by 12 seconds and also became Concordia’s first woman to run the 6K distance in less than 23 minutes.

Konow, the daughter of Matt and Amy Konow, is a 2011 graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is a junior elementary education major.
