Kayla Konow (Fort Wayne, IN) of the women’s cross-country team is honored for the week of Oct. 14-20.

Konow set the Concordia-Chicago women’s record in the 6K run with a 23:01.09 at the UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational on Oct. 19. She beat her previous career-best time from one week ago, by 25 seconds and Alex Schmidt’s school record from Sept. 6 of this year by eight seconds.

Konow, the daughter of Matt and Amy Konow, is a 2011 graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is a junior elementary education major.
