Brendan Mullane (Park Ridge, IL) of the men’s soccer team is honored for the first week of the new school year, Aug. 26-Sept. 1.
Mullane led the way during the Cougars’ 10-goal weekend which included wins over Manchester University and Eureka College. Mullane scored twice in the first half and assisted on another goal in Concordia’s 3-1 opening win at Manchester Aug. 31. In the Sept. 1 home opener versus Eureka, Mullane tallied the team’s first two goals including the eventual game-winner and assisted on a second-half tally as the Cougars won handily by a 7-1 score. The forward’s four goals came on nine shots which paced the highly charged attack.
