Dan Kluss (Niles, IL) of the baseball team is honored for the week of May 13-19.

Kluss was named to the Central Regional all-tournament team as the Cougars came within two innings of winning the regional. Kluss pitched a four-hit shutout in the Cougars’ opening 2-0 win over Augustana College on May 15. He fanned eight batters and walked nobody in improving to 8-1 on the season. Kluss then earned his third career save and first of 2013 in pitching the final two innings of Concordia’s May 18 win over Augustana. He finished the season with a 2.49 earned run average over a team-leading 76 innings.

Kluss, the son of Joe and Diane Kluss, is a 2010 graduate of Niles West High School in Skokie, Illinois. He is a junior business management major.
