Alicia Salata (Bartlett, IL) of the softball team is honored for the week of April 8-14.

Salata collected seven hits in eight at-bats in the Cougars’ doubleheader sweep of Rockford College on April 13. One of her hits was a solo homer leading off the third inning of game one. Salata scored five runs and drove in four for the doubleheader. She also pitched five innings of game one and earned the win, her third in four decisions this season.

Salata, the daughter of Alan and Marlene Salata, is a 2012 graduate of Bartlett High School in Bartlett, Illinois. She is a freshman exercise science major.
