Steve Zubrzycki (McHenry, IL) of the baseball team is honored for the week of March 4-10.
Zubrzycki was a main catalyst in the Cougar baseball team’s 7-1 start to the season. He started all eight games of the team’s Arizona trip and played a flawless third base, handling all 19 chances without an error. At the plate, Zubrzycki batted .407 in 27 at-bats. He scored five runs, drove in three and posted an on-base percentage of .500.
Zubrzycki, the son of Joe and Michelle Zubrzycki is a 2011 graduate of Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock, Illinois. He is a sophomore business management and psychology major.
