Jamal Thomas (Weirsdale, FL) of the men’s indoor track team is honored for the week of Feb. 25-March 3.

Thomas broke his own school record from one week ago in the long jump with a 47’ 6 ½” mark at the Gill Last Chance Qualifier at Carthage College on March 1. His effort puts him 14^th nationally in NCAA Division III and puts him on the cusp of qualifying for the national championships in the event.

Thomas, the son of Ante and Joyce Thomas, is a 2008 graduate of Lake Weir High School in Ocala, Fla. He is a senior marketing major.
