Amanda Allen (Deerfield, WI) of the women’s track team is honored for the week of April 30-May 6.

Allen won two events at the Northern Athletics Conference Outdoor Championships May 5. She broke her own school record in winning the shot put, recording a 39’ 7 ½”. Allen also established a personal-best in the discus with a throw of 126’ 11”. She scored 20 team points in helping the Cougar women to second place and was awarded the NAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Year.

Allen, the daughter of David and Cindy Allen, is a 2008 graduate of Deerfield High School. She is a senior exercise science major.
