Ryan Thorsen (Lake Villa, IL) of the baseball team is honored for the week of April 23-29.

Thorsen hurled eight scoreless innings in the Cougars’ 9-0 game-one win over Concordia University Wisconsin April 29. The southpaw allowed just five hits and three walks while striking out three. Thorsen improved to 5-2 on the season while lowering his ERA to a sparkling 1.60 over 50 2/3 innings.

Thorsen, the son of Pat and Connie Thorsen, is a 2009 graduate of Grant Community High School in Fox Lake, Ill. He is a sophomore sports management major.
