Anthony Even (Franklin Park, IL) of the baseball team is honored for the week of April 9-15.
Even batted .591 on 13 hits in 22 at-bats over Concordia's six games. The third baseman numbered six doubles and a triple among his 13 hits for a slugging percentage of 1.000. He scored six runs and drove in 12, eight of them in the Cougars’ doubleheader win over Dominican University April 14. Through 28 games, Even leads the team with 51 hits and a .443 batting average.
Even, the son of Warren and Ann Even, is a 2007 graduate of West Leyden High School in Northlake, Ill. He is a senior business management major.
