Kayla Katarzynski joins the Concordia University Men's Volleyball coaching staff in the fall of 2021.

Katarzynski brings a wealth of playing experience as a libero where she was a four-year starter and two-time captain at the University of Illinois-Springfield. In her career at UIS, she finished holding four of the first six spots of the individual season records for digs. #2 - 480 digs, #3 - 473 digs, #5 - 404 digs, and #6 - 363 digs. She also holds the record for digs in a match (39) and is second in individual career digs with 1,720 as she recorded double digit digs in 21 contests.

She was an AAU national champion in 2017 and has coaching experience as a varsity coach at Rosary High School in Aurora, Illinois. She was a Graduate Assistant at Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois for the Men's Volleyball team.

Katarzynski has a masters degree in social work and is currently an elementary school social worker. She is one of five sisters.Â
