WHEATON, ILL. -- Picking up a non-conference match in the heart of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play, the Concordia University Chicago Cougars battled with the Wheaton Thunder, falling 7-0.
DOUBLES
- The Cougars got to work right away with the duo of Sam Smith (Munster, Ind) and Andres Villagran (El Paso, Texas) as the number one duo, but they would fall 6-2 after a hearty battle.
- Collin Dickey (Frisco, Texas) and August Barnes (Sodus, Mich.) would also secure one point in their doubles match, but fall short 6-1.
SINGLES
- Four Cougars secured points in their singles match in Dickey, Barnes, Reynaldo Leal (Weslaco, Texas), and Kevin Bullens (River Forest, Ill.).Â
- Bullens led the charge, going to tiebreakers in each set. He secured six points in his first set before falling 7-0 in tiebreakers while he picked up six more points in his second set and falling 7-3 in tiebreakers.Â
The Cougars will return to their home court for a rescheduled match on Friday, April 10th as they host Olivet Nazarene University. Opening serve is set for 2:00 pm.Â
