Cougars Conclude Spring Trip with Loss to Trine

Orlando, Fla. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's tennis team finished off their spring trip with a mid-week matchup against Trine University. Even with some good efforts, the Cougars ultimately fell 7-0.
 
Doubles
  • Andres Villagran (El Paso, Texas) and Sam Smith (Munster, Ind.) tried their best, but the No. 1 doubles players fell 6-1.
  • In the No. 2 doubles match, Collin Dickey (Frisco, Texas) and August Barnes (Sodus, Mich.) tried their hand against their opponents, but succumbed to the challenge, 6-1.
  • No. 3 doubles, composed of Kevin Bullens (River Forest, Ill.) and Reynaldo Leal (Weslaco, Texas), came into quick contact with their opponents, falling 6-0.
 
Singles
  • Trine went on to take all of the singles matches.
  • For No. 2 singles, Villagran tried his best, but fell in both of his sets, 6-1.
  • No. 3 singles, represented by Smith, also tried very hard on the court, falling in both of his sets, 6-1.
  • The closest matchup would be at No. 6 singles, played by Barnes, who fell in his first set, 6-2. He proceeded to go into his second set and ultimately fell 6-0.
