RIVER FOREST, ILL. -- Heading into the final week of the regular season,
Grace King (Fairland, Ind.) not only led the way for Concordia University Chicago, but she picked up the first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Player of the Week accolades for Cougar Hoops this season.
King led the Cougars in two games this week for a combined 39 points. In the thrilling win over Edgewood, King led all scorers with 18 points while adding in nine rebounds, five steals, and one block while going two-for-two from the free throw line. She followed that up with a career-best tying 21-point performance against Marian on Saturday while collecting ten rebounds for her third double-double of the season. She also contributed four assists, three steals, and one block while going four-for-four from the free throw line.
The Cougars will have their home finale this Wednesday, February 18th, as they host their Division Street Rivals for a 5:00 pm tipoff before hitting the road for the regular season finale at Lakeland University on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
