Four Cougars Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

RIVER FOREST, ILL. -- Four members of the Concordia University Chicago (CUC) football team have earned a spot on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. Ezekiel Pearson (Richville, Mich.) Dennis Vanderplow (Livonia, Mich.), Colton Bosch (Coopersville, Mich.), and Adam Lambaz (Elgin, Ill.) all excelled on the field and in the classroom this season. To make the CSC Academic All-District Team student-athletes must have a 3.5 GPA or above in order to be nominated.

Pearson picked up his first CSC Academic All-District nod after his first appearance on the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) All-Conference list, earning Honorable Mention for his junior season. As a key member of the offensive line, Pearson helped lock down in all ten games he appeared in. He was a dependable anchor, consistently maintaining his position and denying opponents a way through to all three of the Cougars' quarterbacks this season.

Vanderplow picked up his second Academic All-District nod after working as the sole punter for the Cougars this season. He punted 60 times this season for a total of 2,270 yards averaging out to 37.83 yards per punt. He had seven punts that were over 50 yards and 12 punts that dropped inside the 20-yard line. His longest punt of the season came against St. Norbert with a 55-yard punt. In that same game, he punted a career-high 348 yards.

Bosch also picked up his second Academic All-District nod after earning the spot of the primary quarterback this season. Bosch led the Cougars in nearly every category with 113 completions on 220 attempts. He threw for a total of 1,623 yards ont he season with his longest throw coming in at a program record tying 95-yards, topping the conference for longest pass this season. He averaged 162.30 passing yards per game.

Lambaz picked up his first CSC Academic All-District nod after earning NACC All-Conference accolades for a strong defensive performance in his junior season. Lambaz had his name in nearly every statistical category this season, picking up 32 total tackles, 13 of which were solo. He is credited with three sacks for a total loss of 28 yards while forcing one fumble and recovering one fumble. He picked up one interception on the year for a gain of three yards. Lambaz saw a career-high six tackles in the win against University of Minnesota-Morris in the season opener. He finished in the top 25 in the NACC for sacks per game.

The Cougars finished the season 4-6 overall and 2-6 in NACC play.
