DE PERE, Wis. - The Concordia University Chicago women's track & field team competed in the first day of the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by St. Norbert College. After day one, the Cougars have four points, sitting seventh of eight teams.
Notable Performances
- Ariel Martinez (Berwyn, Ill.) scored the Cougars four points by finishing fifth in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 12:28.23.
- Eve Shelton (St. Louis, Mo.) qualified for two finals tomorrow. In the 100m hurdles preliminaries, she topped the time sheets with a 15.05. In the 200m preliminares, she finished seventh with a time of 26.66.
- Also qualifying for the 200m finals tomorrow is Aniyah Isom (Chicago, Ill.), who finished eighth with a time of 26.77.
- Izzy Fairles (Royal Oak, Mich.) took eighth in the 800m preliminaries with a time of 2:26.59, qualifying for tomorrow's finals.
- Setting a personal best of 1:12.30, Tegan Oas (Shingle Springs, Calif.) took eighth in the 400m hurdles preliminaries and qualifiy for tomorrow's finals.Â
Cougar Personal Records
- Addi McKee set a personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:46.17.
- Madalyn Smock (Poplar Grove, Ill.) threw for 31.43m (103-1.00) in the discus throw.
- Also in the discus, Velda Ndang (Plainfield, Ill.) threw a personal best mark of 21.88m (71-9.00).
