RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's tennis team hosted Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) on a cloudy day in River Forest. The Engineers proved a force to be reckoned with and the Cougars fell 7-0. CUC is now 0-10, 0-3 NACC.
Doubles
- At third doubles, Kevin Bullens (River Forest, Ill.) and Kyle Pelzek (Hales Corner, Wis.) won one game in their match, but ultimately fell 6-1.
- The Cougars were blanked, 6-0, at both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, with the doubles point going to MSOE.
Singles
- The Cougars struggled to secure points against the Engineers.
- Diego Loveshe (Franklin Park, Ill.) was the lone Cougar to secure game wins both sets, falling in two 6-1 sets at No. 6 singles.
- After falling 6-0 in set one at No. 3 singles, Reynaldo Leal (Weslaco, Texas) put up a tough battle fell 6-3 in set two and dropped the point to MSOE.
- The Engineers made it difficult for the Cougars and swept the points in singles.
The Cougars take a break in Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) play for their match. The squad will play College of DuPage on Thursday, April 10, at 4:30pm in Glen Ellyn, Ill. Coverage can be found at cucougars.com/coverage.
