MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's tennis team traveled to Mequon, Wis. to face Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW). Despite their best efforts, the Cougars fell to the Falcons 7-0.
Doubles
- At first doubles, Collin Dickey (Frisco, Texas) and Reynaldo Leal (Weslaco, Texas) were able to snag some games, but fell 6-2.
- The Falcons kept the Cougars scoreless at second and third doubles, winning both matches 6-0, and taking the doubles point for a 1-0 lead over CUC into singles play.
Singles
- CUW continued to dominate, blanking the Cougars at first, third, and fifth singles.
- Nathan Stringer (Milwaukee, Wis.) and Sam Smith (Munster, Ind.) took one game in their first sets, at second and fourth singles, respectively. However, they both fell by the same scoreline, 6-1, 6-0.
- Diego Loveshe (Franklin Park, Ill.) put up a tough battle in his first set at sixth singles, falling 6-3. Unfortunately, he fell 6-0 in set two, and the Falcons swept the points.
