COUNTRYSIDE, Ill. – The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's tennis team competed in its second Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) match of the weekend today, taking on the Green Knights of St. Norbert College (SNC). The Cougars fought until the end but ultimately fell 7-0. CUC is now 0-9, 0-2 NACC.

Doubles:
Sam Smith (Munster, Ind.) and
Nathan Stringer (Milwaukee, Wis.) came close to a win at No. 2 doubles, falling just short, 6-4.
In the third doubles match,
Kyle Pelzek (Hales Corner, Wis.) and
Kevin Bullens (River Forest, Ill.) didn't make it easy for the Green Knights, but dropped the match 6-2.
In the No. 1 doubles match,
Collin Dickey (Frisco, Texas) and
Reynaldo Leal (Weslaco, Texas) were defeated 6-1, and the Cougars were left scoreless before the singles matches started.

Singles
The Green Knights proved a fierce opponent as CUC struggled to pick up points in the sets.
Leal put up the toughest battle in his first set at No. 5 singles, losing 6-3. He then fell 6-0 in the second set, giving the point to SNC.
Dickey and Bullens were the only Cougars to pick up games in both sets of their matches, with both Cougars falling in two 6-1 sets at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, respectively.
SNC was relentless and secured all six points in singles play.
