HAMMOND, IND. -- After nearly a month long break from competition, the Concordia Unviersity Chicago (CUC) Cougars fell to the Division II Lions of Purdue Northwest (PNW).
The Cougars would take the first points of the game with a routine four forfeit from the Lions, but that would stand to be the only point CUC would pick up in the first quarter. Struggling to bounce back, the Cougars wouldn't pick up their next point until the last routine of the third quarter.
Heading into the fourth quarter with a tough deficit, the Cougars would add four more points off routines one, two, and three, but the Lions would extend their lead with seven of their own points to close the game with a final score of 14-6 in favor of PNW.
The Cougars face a quick turnaround time as they play two games on Saturday, March 15th against Quincy University and Missouri Baptist University. Game one is slated for a noon start time while game two is set for 2:45pm. Coverage can be found at cucougars.com/coverage.
