RIVER FOREST, ILL. – Concordia University Chicago Athletics has announced the cancellation of the 2026 STUNT season due to unforeseen circumstances within the program.
 

The decision, effective immediately, was made in consultation with university leadership in accordance with NCAA guidelines.
 

"It is with great disappointment that we are cancelling the spring 2026 STUNT competition season at Concordia Chicago," said John Jaramillo, Director of Athletics. "We do not take such a decision lightly, particularly because of the impact on the experience of our STUNT and Cheer students. We will take appropriate steps to address the circumstances that led to this decision and give our students the best chance to succeed and enjoy a first-class experience at CUC going forward."  
 

Athletes on the 2026 STUNT roster will retain their year of eligibility.  Updates regarding CUC Cheer and STUNT can be found at cucougars.com.
