COUNTRYSIDE, ILL. – The Concordia University Chicago men's tennis team took on another non-conference matchup, falling to Indiana University East 5-2.
DOUBLES
The duo of
Collin Dickey (Frisco, Texas) and
Reynaldo Leal (Weslaco, Texas) and
Kevin Bullens (River Forest, Ill.) and
Kyle Pelzek (Hales Corners, Wis.) battled in their doubles matches, picking up a few sets, but were ultimately unable to overcome their deficits and fall behind early in the overall match.
SINGLES
Bullens was the lone Cougar to compete and win in his singles match, after falling in set one 7-4 and turning the reverse sweep winning sets two and three 6-4 and 10-5.
Joshua Gustafson (Merrill, Wisc.) picked up the second Cougar point of the day with a forfeit. All Cougars would pick up at least one point in a set, but untimely fall 5-2.
