NOTRE DAME, IND. - Extending their win streak out to six straight, the Concordia University Chicago STUNT team swept the day at the Crossroads Rumble, picking up two wins against Quincy University and Heidelberg University.
GAME ONE VS QUINCY: 10-3 W
CUC would take an early 1-0 lead after picking up the first point off of routine one, but find themselves unsuccessful in routine four to secure another point in the first quarter. In quarter two, the Cougars would jumpstart their runs with two consecutive points to go into halftime with the 3-0 lead. Two more points after the half would bring them to 5-0 heading into the last quarter, where five points across two routines would give them the 10-3 victory.
GAME TWO VS HEIDELBERG: 9-2 W
In their first 16 round game of the season, CUC faced off with Heidelberg where they picked up the first point of the day on the first routine selected, routine one. That would be the only point the Cougars would secure in the first quarter, but they would pick up yet another point in the second off of routine two and go into the half with the 2-0 lead. They would pick up three consecutive points in the third quarter to extend their lead before the fourth quarter saw two more and gave them the 9-2 win.
the cougars will be back at the Crossroads Rumble tomorrow, Sunday February 16th, as they face Division I Central Michigan Univerity and a rematch with St. Mary's College. Their first game is slated for an 11:15 EST start time.
