RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) STUNT team hosted the Lewis University Flyers for today's game, consisting of eight routines. The Cougars excelled in their routines and defeated the Flyers 7-3.
After the Flyers won the coin toss, they selected routine three. No one received a point, and the Cougars gained possession and chose routine one. CUC's partner stunts were top-tier and secured the first point of the game.
Mirroring the selections of the first quarter, both teams forfeited the Flyers' selection of routine three. Then the Cougars took the point, after selecting routine one, and took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The third quarter began with the Cougars in possession and selecting routine one. Once again, only the Cougars would take the point. With possession transferring to Lewis, the Flyers selected routine four, where they scored their first point of the game, keeping themselves within two points, 3-1.
In the final quarter of the game, Concordia started with possession and chose routine one, where they received all three points for partner stunts, jumps & tumbling, and pyramids & tosses, and the Flyers received a point for jumps and tumbling. In the final routine, routine four selected by the Flyers, CUC earned the point for partner stunts while Lewis stole the jumps & tumbling point. Neither team received a point for pyramids and tosses, leaving the final score at 7-3 in favor of the Cougars.
