Milwaukee, Wis. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) Cougars women's volleyball team made their way to Wisconsin Lutheran College to battle against the Warriors. After five sets of victory-hungry gameplay, the Warriors beat out the Cougars 3-2.

Inside the Score Box:
- Lili Hunt (Greenfield, Ind.) walked away from the game with 12 kills, 31 total attacks, and three digs.
- Beatriz Goncalves (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) had seven kills, 27 total attacks, and six digs, followed by Harmonie Cooper (Chicago, Ill.), who also had seven kills, 14 total attacks, and two blocks.
- Indiah Day (Merrillville, Ind.) and Bethany Roethel (Westby, Wis.) both had 15 digs, along with Day's six kills and 41 total attacks.

Here's What Happened
Set One
The Warriors were the first on the scoreboard, with the Cougars earning a point right after. The Warriors quickly gained a strong lead on the Cougars, the score being 9-3 in time for the first timeout. The Warriors proved to be lethal at the net as the first half of the set consisted of blocks that resulted in points. Hunt broke their streak, however, with a sharp kill, putting the Cougars to 5-11. Quick action from the Cougars kept them in the running; Jordan Brown (Bensenville, Ill.) proved to be quick on her feet with her digs and defense at the net. Their fight wasn't enough as the Warriors took set one with a score of 25-19, going into set two with 1-0.

Set Two
The Cougars were the first on the scoreboard with the Warriors coming in right after. The teams managed to continuously tie up with each other after every point - but the Cougars took the lead with 11-8. Hunt and Cooper were a dynamic duo at the net as they deflected a Warrior's attack, pushing the Cougars to 12-9. Unfortunately, the Warriors grabbed the lead once more, leaving the Cougars behind with a score of 18-14. Goncalves kept the Cougars standing with an amazing kill at the net, along with a synchronized block by Hunt and Ava Quevedo (Colorado Springs, Colo.). The teams battled head to head, but the Warriors took set two with a score of 25-23, going into set three with 2-0.

Set Three
The Warriors were first on the scoreboard. The Warriors gained a small lead before Cooper placed a fast kill in their court, putting the Cougars on the scoreboard. The Cougars fell behind with six unanswered for points from the Warriors. The Cougars eventually got a momentary gain on the Warriors, with the score tying up with 11-11. The Cougars continued to fight back as they gained the lead with 17-12 after an attack from Day. With some last ditch efforts, the Cougars took set three with 25-21, going into set four with 1-2.

Set Four
The Warriors were the first on the scoreboard. Rosemary Brenner (Frankenmuth, Mich.) continued to impress throughout the sets with her fast saves and low digs. The Cougars easily took the lead at the beginning of set four, with a kill from Day moving the Cougars up to 13-9. The Cougars continued to maintain a large lead against the Warriors. A kill from Hunt led to the Cougars taking set four 25-21, going into set five, 2-2.

Set Five
The Warriors were first on the scoreboard. The Warriors took the lead against the Cougars with 7-4. The Cougars fought for their spot as another round of blocks from Acevedo and Kate Foley (Milwaukee, Wis.) pushed points in the Cougars direction. A kill from a Warrior finished off the game as the Warriors took the fifth and final set of the day with 15-9, with a total set score of 3-2.
